Back to School with Santa Cruz organic review and #GIVEAWAY {US only}

It's back to school time here... and you know what that means? Packing lunches for my littles. I was so excited when Santa Cruz reached out to me and asked me if I'd be interested in trying out some of their products! If you know me, then you know that eating local and organic foods is high on my list of priorities!
I was sent a 4 pack of apple sauce in a squeezable pouch, a jar of strawberry fruit spread, and a jar of peanut butter!
This is what I received:

I cannot tell you how yummy they were! They are awesome! My kids loved them even more! I really appreciate that their peanut butter had no added sugar. Ingredients 'organic roasted peanuts, *may contain 1% or less of salt.'
I sent the applesauce with my 4 yo to preschool. It is so easy for little ones to open and eat! No need to send a cup of applesauce with a spoon (which never makes their way home to me anyway)!

I am so thrilled to introduce to you my latest obsession I mean go-to diaper!! TOTS BOTS!
Now I may be partial to this diaper because it's made in the UK (Scotland to be exact) and my father was born in England. Or maybe it's the absolutely adorable prints that these diapers come in

These are the new prints ^^ that have come out in the new V4 version!

The diapers pictured below are a part of their 'story book collection' and come in the older (V3 version)! If you are stateside, you can still get the V3 version (I saw a few in snaps only) from retailers such as Thanks Mama!

Or perhaps it's the way these diaper work, the high quality of production, or maybe it's a matter of all of the above combined!

Tots Bots has a few different versions of their diapers to choose from. There is the TeenyFit (which is an all in one (AIO) diaper designed to fit babies from 5-12 lbs; the EasyFit (also an AIO), and a one size diaper, designed to fit babies from 8-35 lbs; and lastly the Bamboozle. The Bamboozle is a stretchy bamboo fitted diaper, which comes in two sizes. Size one designed for babies weighing from 6-18 lbs and size 2 designed for babies weighing 9-35 lbs! Tots Bots also offers swim diapers and training pants!

I was thrilled to have been sent the brand new V4 TotsBots "binky" in the Hickory Dickory Dock print in hook and loop closure! For those of you that have been a reader of my blog for any amount of time, know that I am a DIE HARD snaps (poppers) girl!! Read on to find out what I discovered while using this diaper!!

This is what I received:

 This print is so much more vibrant and rich in real life!!

 Clocks, and mice and cheese!!! When I was stationed in Germany... I flew home for Christmas the first year I was there and I bought my parents a cuckoo clock from the Black Forest! It was awesome! This diaper kind of brings back memories of that!

 A good look at the print!

 Ok, here is the inside. It is indeed an all in one diaper with a pocket near the back that you stuff the inners into! As you can see in this picture, the snap in soaker which is bamboo, cotton, minky blend (aka binky) fabric gives this diaper superb absorbency and is GREAT when used at night!! 

 The soaker simply snaps to the inside of the diaper with 2 snaps:

 Here is the diaper with soaker attached and unstuffed:

You simply fold the soaker at the snap and stuff it into the back side of the diaper's pocket. 

This is what your diaper will look like when it's ready to go onto baby's bum:

 Let's talk hook and loop! You can see here the vibrant red strip of hook and loop material. You can also see the two rise snap settings here:

This diaper is amazing! I LOVE the prints (and solid colors of the diapers which can be found here)! I LOVE that it's an all in one (AIO) with the optional snap in soaker for heavy wetters or overnight use!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the prints! I can't wait to get them ALL!
I also love the quality! These diapers are very well made and Tots Bots really does a great job with their customer service!!

Dr. Browns Gia Angled Breastfeeding Pillow review and #GIVEAWAY {US and Canada}

It's been just over a month since my last blog post. I've been busy!! Having three littles has been great so far and I'm still learning daily how to give each one what they need when they need it!
Allison is almost a year old! She's a great baby! Loves to talk and coo and is just now about 13 lbs! She's a tiny girl and we love her! Despite her being so small, she sure can eat! She is exclusively breastfed and LOVES to nurse!
I was so excited when I was contacted and asked if I would like to review the Gia Angled Breastfeeding Pillow by Dr. Brown!

We LOVE this nursing pillow! We use it every day! I love that it's made of 100% cotton and no foam like in other nursing pillows (my breast friend) that can off gas harmful chemicals!


I love that it's angled! It really does make a difference, especially in the early weeks when you and baby are both learning to breastfeed! This angled nursing pillow was designed by a lactation consultant! It is believed that the angled pillow will help with digestion, reduce reflux and any other feeding problems.
But boy, is it not only useful, but it's so comfy!
I would sit up in bed the first few months and nurse Allison using this pillow and often woke up to her lying on the pillow (still nursing) as I had dozed off. There is no arching your back to try and get your breast into baby's mouth... it is a perfect fit!

Bummis Bamboozle S-T-R-E-T-C-H fitted #CLOTHDIAPERS review {Thanks Mama}

I was so excited when Thanks Mama offered to send a Tots Bots Stretch Bamboozle fitted diaper for my review as I'm still trying to figure out something for night time that is... well... bulletproof!
This is what I received:

I was sent the size 2 (which fits 10-35 lbs)

 The Bamboozle has a very strong hook and loop closure, with rise snaps to adjust for the perfect fit:

 The inside of the diaper contains a snap in soaker that's made of bamboo:

You can adjust the soaker (fold it) as for your needs (boy or girl):

I've really liked playing around with this diaper. I have found that by adding a 2 ply applecheeks bamboo insert on top of the snap in soaker I get a HUGE amount of leak-proof protection:

 This is the size two (fits 10-35 lbs) on the smallest setting:

 The main reason I'm not a huge fan of hook and loop closure when it comes to cloth diapers is because in my experience they get attached to all my other diapers in the wash and the diapers get all tangled up and don't get clean! This has NOT been my experience with the Bamboozle!

It has a very well made/sturdy hook and loop closures and fastens to the laundry tabs amazingly well!

Stretch Bamboozle Fitted Diapers

The Stretch Bamboozle Fitted Diapers from†Tots Bots are now available in colors! These fitted cloth diapers have multidirectional stretch to provide a great fit. Combine that with highly absorbent bamboo and a cloth diaper with adjustable legs and waist for a leak-resistant cloth diaper.

Made from stretchy rayon which comes from bamboo this cloth diaper is environmentally friendly. Bamboo is grown without pesticides or fertilizers and has a short growth cycle. The fabric is soft, durable, and absorbs quickly.

Care:

Wash on hot and dry in the dryer. Line dry to make the cloth diaper last longer. Fasten the Aplix to the laundry tabs prior to washing. Do not soak or use bleach, whiteners, brighteners, fabric softeners, or baking soda. Dark colors should be washed separately for the first three washes in order to avoid any color bleeding. New Bamboozles will reach full absorbency after 10 wash/dry cycles. You can start using them after 3 washes.

These bamboo cloth diapers have passed European standards for non-toxicity and are Oeko-Tex certified. They are made by Tots Bots in Scotland.


The Bamboozle comes in two sizes. Size one, which fits 5-18 lbs and size 2 which fits 10-35 lbs. My little girl is just 12 lbs at 7 months. She's a little peanut for sure and the size 2 fit her great on the smallest setting!!
