My new favorite wreath by "Hang Everything Up" review and $20 GC giveaway {US only}

I LOVE this time of year! The weather is cool and crisp, the days are getting shorter, the leaves are changing color and everywhere I drive I see the care taken by lovers of this season to decorate! The mums line the walk ways in vibrant, bold colors, and the doors are decorated with each family's favorite autumn wreath!
I was on the hunt for a door wreath when I came across "Hang Everything Up" on a local flea market site here in Clarksville. I contacted Nikki (the talented gal who makes these beauties) regarding a review. She ever so kindly met with me and gave me this gorgeous 23" burlap wreath for my review!

I cannot begin to tell you how beautiful it is. This picture really does not do it justice!

Nikki really has an eye for the color schemes and the beauty of these wreaths!

The wreath I received above is a 23" wreath and retails for $45. Nikki does have other sizes of wreaths varying in price! To see more, check out her Facebook page!

 

It comes with a little twine loop so you can hang it from your door. I first hung it without using the loop and it looked like this:

The most whimsical #CLOTHDIAPER I've ever seen {Daddy's Diaper's} review and $10 GC #GIVEAWAY {world-wide}

Almost 6 months ago my whole world went from Legos, transformers, dirt, mud, and matchbox cars to bows, pink, purples and everything girly!
As most of you know, in April I gave birth to our first little girl! After having 2 active, curious and playful boys, we entered into a whole new world when she arrived.
I donated or sold all of my boy-ish cloth diapers and bought some pink, yellow, red, and purple ones! I scoured the internet in awe of all the cute tutus and hair bows that seemed to be calling my name! Then I came across Daddy's Diapers! I was in LOVE!
Daddy's Diapers are one of a kind. They are hand made by Amelia's Daddy! They currently make scrappy diapers, ruffle diapers, wipes and 'tooshie' cream, and holiday diapers!

I was so excited when Daddy's Diapers agreed to send a ruffle diaper for my review. I received the "Love and Daises" diaper! This is what I received:

 The interior of the diaper is super soft and made of organic bamboo fleece and is a great option for babies with sensitive skin!

Pocket opening to stuff the diaper! The opening looks small, but I assure you it is very stretchy and can quite easily accommodate daddy-sized hands doin' the stuffing

The diaper comes with a very long microfiber insert! I fold it 3 times to get a good fit inside the pocket:

I LOVE this diaper. I don't use it for everyday use (I'm too attached to it already)! I have used it during nap time and at night for the purpose of this review. Both times I did not experience ANY leaks, or other issues! The diaper itself is VERY well made. You can tell that Amelia's Daddy takes his time and pays very close attention to detail when crafting these lovely diapers!
I used this diaper with the microfiber insert (above) that it came with and also played around a bit. I've stuffed it with a Thirsties hemp insert, and an applecheeks 3-ply bamboo insert as well. The latter 2 made the diaper a bit more trim on my girl!
This is a one size pocket diaper, made to fit babies from 10 to 28 lbs, Daddy's Diapers also makes other sizes as well!
My girl is a small, long and lean baby and weighs just about 14 lbs at almost 6 months! This diaper fits great!

Notice how snug the diaper fits around the waist (smallest setting) and she is lying down! This diaper fits nice and snug without leaving red marks!

My favorite!! Look at the ruffles on the bum!!!

What's been going on!!!

I've been a bit MIA and for good reason! The a week ago last Tuesday while changing my now 5 month old little girl I felt a lump near the base of her spine. I took her to the doctor just to have it checked.... the three words that came out of his mouth shook me to the core "Spina Bifida Occulta."

Now, when I hear the words spina bifid I automatically think a debilitating condition that would effect my daughter the rest of her life. The doctor told me I would need to have an ultrasound done on her spine to determine the severity!
I made it out the door, half way to my car and started weeping! I was so afraid, so unsure of what all of this meant, and could mean for us!

I spent the next 3 days on the phone with the insurance company trying to figure out a place to have the scan done. Two days later I called again and was given an appointment at the children's hospital in Nashville, TN.

In the mean time I took my baby girl to me to Bible study (Minivan Mayhem) and shared the news with my group. I asked whomever felt led to come forward and lay hands on my daughter and pray!
About a dozen moms came forward to pray!
The Bible tells us to pray specifically! So that is what I did! I prayed that when her spine was examined there would be nothing found! I had to be strong. I had to trust that God Himself had not only me, but my whole family in His grip of grace! I had to lay her on the altar once again and give her over to Him! So I did! I had such an amazing sense of peace in my heart. Knowing that no matter what the diagnosis was, that it was going to be ok. Romans 8:28 says that God uses ALL things for good for those that love Him. Not just the good times, the times of rejoicing and peace, but also in the midst of the storm when we are so afflicted, confused and hurt that we can't seem to find solid ground to stand on!

Then came the day for the appointment for the ultrasound!
My neighbor graciously went with me and we had the scan done (she cried through the whole thing)!
The next day I scheduled an appointment with her doctor to give us the results. I received a call from his office that day telling me that they did not have the results yet and it would be awhile before they did. More waiting!

Finally the phone rang! The lady on the other end told me that the scan showed NO ABNORMALITIES!!! My baby girl had been healed!

I have seen God work in my life, and in the lives of those around me these last two weeks like never before!

I stand in awe of Him!!

Lone Star Baby Rump cloth diaper and wet bag review and #GIVEAWAY {US/Canada}

I was so excited when I found Lone Star Baby Rump while searching the net for #clothdiapers!
I was even more excited when I found out I was being sent a large wet bag and an 'ABC Rump' pocket diaper to try on my little girl!

This is what I received:

I am super impressed with the cuteness factor on both of these! The wet bag has a snap handle which is great because it fits right on the doorknob next to my changing table!

The minky pocket diaper came with two inserts. The white one is a microfiber insert and the off-white one is bamboo!

 The pocket opening! Looks a bit small but really does stretch so you can easily get the inserts in and out without any issue!

This diaper fit my little one very well!
We had not issues with leaks, or gaps around the legs or anything like that. The diapers are a really nice fit, even on a skinny Minnie :)

The diaper is a bit bulky, but considering it's a one size diaper and had the two inserts inside, I'd say it's very comparable to other one size diapers on the market!
