#NBFluffNStuff Bumgenius 4.0 clothdiaper review and $15 GC #GIVEAWAY {Jack be Natural} US only

There are many newborn options to consider when cloth diapering a newborn. I personally LOVED one size diapers for my boys (when they were older) I really didn't know how they would fare on a brand new baby! So I contacted Jack be Natural regarding sponsoring this event!! John and Stacy were quick to step up and help me out.
They sent me a Bumgenius 4.0 in grasshopper for my review. This is what I received:

Here is some more information on the Bumgenius 4.0 one size pocket diaper (taken from Cotton Babies website):

"bumGenius 4.0 One-Size Cloth Diaper Features: Durable snap closures help keep diapers on older babies. Generous sizing accommodates larger babies. Easily replaceable elastic keeps your diapers fresh. 3x3 snap down design* adjusts the sizing to fit small, medium and large sizes (approximately 7-35+ pounds). Trim, snug and comfortable stretchy tabs* provide a custom fit. Waterproof insert stopper* prevents leaking at the tummy. Diapers are bundled with two inserts: a newborn insert for newborns and a one-size insert for your older baby. Wide slot opening makes it easy to stuff and remove insert. Slot cover* protects your baby from wetness. All bumGenius One-Size Cloth Diapers include a small, lightweight insert for newborns and a larger one-size insert for your growing baby. When your baby outgrows the newborn insert, it works as an overnight booster or as extra absorbency for heavy wetters."

This diaper was one of my favorites with my two boys (now 3 and 5)! I love that it's a one size (it's very cost efficient). I love that it's a pocket (you can customize the absorbency to suit your baby's needs)! I used to stuff these diapers with Thirsties hemp inserts for overnight and nap time with both my boys!
I love the generous pocket opening which makes it easy to really get this diaper stuffed!

This is the BG 4.0 on the smallest setting:

I really thought this diaper was not going to fit very well on my itty bitty baby girl, but as you can see, I was wrong!!!

This is the fit I got with this one size diaper made to fit babies 7-35+ lbs

Once again... no gaps in the legs :)

You can purchase the Bumgenius 4.0 one size pocket diaper directly from Jack be Natural for $17.95! The Bumgenius 4.0 are available in both snap and hook and loop closure! I personally am a snap loving mama! Though, for a newborn I've discovered that I also LOVE the Bumgenius newborn diaper *which is hook and loop*

  1. I love my bg4.0's! I'm so glad to see that they fit on a tiny one too, I got mine when my lo was 3mo so never got to test them out with a nb. Thanks for the review!

  3. Do you remember about how big your daughter was in the pictures with the 4.0s? We have never CDed a newborn before, but for the baby we're expecting in September we are going to start after the first two weeks or so. We love our 4.0s and I know they are *supposed* to fit from birth on up, but I've heard mixed reviews on that...but they sure seem to fit your little one well there :) Thanks!
