Tropical Traditions Powdered Laundry Detergent review and GIVEAWAY

I just love the Tropical Traditions! You may remember that I recently reviewed their coconut oil! Since that review, the folks at Tropical Traditions has sent me a 80 oz (5 lb.) tub of their powdered laundry detergent for review. This is what I received:

I have to admit, it was sitting on the back burner for a few weeks, as our washing machine broke, but once I had the chance to use it, I was in love! I use this detergent on all my clothes (not cloth diapers though, as I am not sure it is cloth diaper safe, and I am not willing to risk damaging my lovely fluff)!
*the following info taken from the Tropical Traditions website:
Tropical Traditions Powdered Laundry Detergent cleans and removes stains from your laundry with the power of Oxygen Bleach Destainer and Deodorizer. Powdered Laundry Detergent is safe and effective at ALL temperatures on whites, permanent press, bright colors, pastels, prints, and delicates in hard or soft water. (Not suitable for Silk or Wool) Tropical Traditions Powdered Laundry Detergent is non-toxic, environmentally safe and contains no phosphates. Powdered Laundry Detergent cleans and safely bleaches your clothes with the added power of Oxygen Bleach Destainer and Deodorizer.

With our Laundry Detergent there are no harmful by-products upon decomposition. Powdered Laundry Detergent dissolves as completely as liquid detergents and rinses away completely leaving no residue in your clothes.

Powdered Laundry Detergent costs less to use than commercial liquid detergents and costs no more to use than commercial powdered household laundry detergents. Powdered Laundry Detergent contains no dyes, perfumes, fillers or phosphates. Compare our Laundry Detergent to your normal laundry detergent and you’ll see the difference!

Powdered Laundry Detergent can be used with Oxygen Bleach Destainer and Deodorizer to provide optimum cleaning and stain removal!

    General Use Directions:
Begin filling washer with water, add Powdered Laundry Detergent, then add laundry.

For regular size washers and normally soiled loads use 1/4 cup (2 oz) of detergent.
For large size washers add 1/2 cup (4 oz) of detergent.
For heavily soiled loads add 1/2 cup (4 oz) of detergent and 1/4 to 1/2 cup (2-4 oz) of Oxygen Bleach
For extra cleaning and stain removal power use Oxygen Bleach as a pre-soak or add 2-4 ounces of Oxygen Bleach to 1/4 cup of our Laundry Detergent per load!!
Note: For front-loading machines use half the amount that is called for with top loading washing machines. For front loading washers and normally soiled loads, use 1/8 cup (1 oz) of Powdered Laundry Detergent.

You can purchase this tub of detergent from Tropical Traditions for the sale price of $16.99!
Or you can win it here!
Tropical Traditions has generously offered one LWML reader a chance to win a 5 lb. tub of their laundry detergent!

Loveybums Wool Cover Review and discount code!!

So, since discovering the wonderful world of wool, I have had the pleasure of trying different kinds of fitted diapers, and wool covers. Pam from Loveybums graciously sent me an organic wool cover size XL for review!

    This is what I received:

This is what was inside the beautiful organza bag:
*notice the little packet of lanolin to go along with their very easy to follow instructions on caring for your wool, and lanolizing it!
This is the outside of the cover:

This is the inside of the cover (which is so soft):

After lanolizing this cover, and letting it dry, I was able to test it out on my 3 yo who has been waking up wet every morning (even in disposable diapers created for night-time use)! I used this diaper over a Sustainablebabyish fitted diaper and it worked awesome! I have been using this cover almost every night and I LOVE it!! It is so easy to put on and take off, since its just like a diaper, as compared to a pull up cover! This just snaps right over the fitted diaper.
This is the XL on my 3 yo (33+lb) son:

These Organic wool covers are made of O~Wool, a soft, organic wool jersey! These organic wool covers come in 4 sizes: NB/SM; Medium; Large; XL

Loveybum's sizing chart can be viewed HERE

These Organic wool covers can be purchased at Loveybums.com for $33.00 for the natural (undyed) or $35.00 for the dyed version, (any size). Wait, thats not all, Pam has graciously offered you wonderful LWML readers a 15% discount from now until June 30th! Simply shop Loveybums.com and enter the code LITTLES at checkout!

A huge thank you to Pam at Loveybums for providing me with this awesome wool cover for review.

    Happy Shopping!!

    Ask the readers

So this morning I woke up to the news "Osama Bin Laden is dead."
What do you all think about all of this?
As a Christian, military wife, and veteran, I can honestly say that I believe justice has finally been served!
This man had blood on his hands and he must stand before God and be held accountable for what he has done!
I do not doubt that God, in His awesomeness could have saved Osama from his sins, (and perhaps He did... that will be one of those questions answered when we finally 'arrive'...)
But I wanted to ask you what you all think of this situation!
Any of you have family/friends that were killed on September 11th???
    Your thoughts please......
