#NBFluffNStuff Taking Care of my wool with Unicorn Fibre products review and #GIVEAWAY {US/Canada}

Anyone who knows me or has been around, reading this blog for any amount of time, know that I LOVE my wool! I've used wool covers for both my boys and it was the only thing that kept them dry during the toddler years at night!
Baby girl is no different! In fact, you can read my recent post about how AWESOME a Sloomb OBF fitted and wool works for her right here!
While caring for your wool is easy, there are some products out there that make wool care a much simpler task and actually quite enjoyable.
You see, the great thing about wool is that you can use it night after night over a fitted diaper and it does not need to be washed daily (like regular cloth diapers)! It only needs to be washed if it get's soiled!! Once it does, you will need to wash it and possibly re-lanolize!
I was thrilled when Unicorn Fibre sent me their fabulous products for review!
I received 1 of each of their Fibre Rinse, Power Scour and Fibre Wash!
This is what I received:

 It didn't take long before I got the chance to put the Fibre Wash to the test:

 

Yep, EBF poo on that lovely small Sloomb cover!!

So I used the Unicorn Fibre wash to take care of it.

First I ran some lukewarm water into a bowl and let the cover soak for about 30 minutes.

Then rinsed. Then I took the cover out, added clean, lukewarm water to the bowl and also added a squirt of the Fibre wash to the bowl. Then I added my cover and gently squeezed the wash into the cover. It's important that when working with wool, you use lukewarm (not hot) water to avoid shocking the wool. Also, you never want to wring out the water from your wool!! This can damage the fibers!

After letting the cover sit in the sudsy water for about 20 minutes, I took it out and rinsed it with lukewarm water until the water ran clear.

Unicorn Fibre's Fibre rinse is also awesome to use on Sloomb wool that does not need to be lanolized! It can be used on a clean Sloomb cover to condition the wool!

Unicorn Fibre's Power Scour is perfect for wool that is HEAVILY soiled!! Or if you have a wool cover that has a build up of old lanolin, Power Scour is what you want to use!!

 

As with any new wool care products, it's important for you to try to use it on a small part of the wool before diving right in and using it on your whole stash! Test a small inconspicuous spot to check for color fastness! All three of the above Unicorn Fibre products are actually sold on the Sloomb website and recommended to be used with Sloomb wool!
