Dolphin Organics SPF 32 mineral sunscreen review and #GIVEAWAY {US only} 8 July

It's really HOT here in Tennessee, I mean, it's about 96 degrees at 10 am! That does not stop this mama from taking the littles out to the park, the pool or on a picnic! That being said! I needed to get on the ball and get some safe, fun, non-toxic, sunscreen for us to use. Last year I used Badger sunscreen (which is still great to use) but I found Badger to be a bit thick and my skin looked chalky after application. So I came across Dolphin Organics "DO Naturals" UVA/UVB SPF 32 mineral sunscreen. How did I come across this you ask? I'm sure glad you did. See, my bloggy friend Kathy over at Safe Mama spends an enormous amount of time and energy into not only finding the safest (non-toxic) and effective items for you and your baby, but she also shares that knowledge with others!! Kathy puts together a cheat sheet of many different baby care and personal care items on her blog, and of course she has an all new 2012 sunscreen cheet sheet available! It is REALLY informative and goes over some of the dangerous chemicals that are found in typical over the counter sunscreens! Some of these chemicals include: Parabens, Phthalates, PEG’s (polyethylene glycols), Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, SLS/SLES amongst others! NONE of which you will find in DO Naturals sunscreen I'm reviewing here!

I was so excited when the kind folks over at Dolphin Organics agreed to send me a tube of their DO Naturals sunscreen for review!

I really like this sunscreen. It works very well and is not greasy or messy to put on. It does take some rubbing to get it onto your skin, but I think that's a good thing, because then you know that you are applying enough! After all, the two most common mistakes made when using sunscreen are not applying enough and not applying more after contact with water!

I love that DO Naturals rates a 2 on the EWG's Skin Deep Rating!

We took the boys to the water park last weekend, and I must say that this stuff is awesome! It kept them both from getting burned! Of course I reapplied it after they were playing in the water for awhile! I use it on myself too! Since we bought a house here, I find myself outside planting flowers in our somewhat naked yard (it's coming along though)!
