#NBFluffNStuff My life with a Snuggy Baby Mei Tai review and $75 GC #GIVEAWAY {WORLD-WIDE}

Mei Tai!! I never knew what one was until my journey with baby wearing began! I've tried the Ergo, Boba, Moby but had never heard of a Mei Tai! So I went searching online in order to find out what a Mei Tai was and I stumbled on Snuggy Baby!
I was thrilled when Snuggy Baby agreed to send me this beautiful floral print Mei Tai for my review. This is what I received:

 Keep in mind at the time I was sent this Mei Tai, I didn't know I was having a little girl:

It came with an instructional video which came in very handy for me to learn how to use this amazing carrier!

 Here is some more information on the Snuggy Baby Mei Tai (taken from Snuggy Baby's website):

Mei Tai

Mei Tai

Snuggy Baby Mei Tais are the first Snuggy Baby product designed for front and back carries. They are designed to distribute the weight of your baby over both shoulders making it even easier to carry heavier babies and toddlers. It just would not be a Snuggy Baby product without the fun, fashionable prints. Mei Tais are easy to learn to use and have almost no learning curve. To make things even easier, all Snuggy Baby carriers come with an instructional DVD where I walk through step by step how to get your baby into the most supportive position on your front and back. Snuggy Baby mei tais are 100% adjustable so they work for multiple caregivers, making it easy for everyone to enjoy the benefits of baby wearing. Snuggy Baby mei tais are made with sturdy linen. Linen is a great fabric that can absorb moisture without becoming wet. This along with the contoured body of the carrier which allows for additional air flow helps keep you and your loved one cool. The mei tai has 4" wide padded straps and a padded waist to evenly distribute your baby's weight, allowing you to comfortably carry them for hours. Snuggy Baby mei tais are constructed with a canvas weight linen. The top straps measure 66" and the waist straps measure 36" from the body of the carrier. All of the straps are securely attached to the body using X boxes. The contoured body of the baby carrier is 25" tall x 17" wide. This works well for a larger toddler, but can easily be adjusted for a smaller baby. You can roll the bottom of the carrier to shorten the body and allow a smaller baby to sit in the narrower contoured part of the carrier making it easier for them to be legs out (optimal position) earlier. The headrest also folds down to allow younger babies to be visible at all times. Although mei tais can be used with newborns, it is best to wait until your baby can ride legs out. This generally happens around 2-4 months depending on the size of your baby. The carrier will then continue to support your baby until they are 35 lbs, or around 3 years.

I first tried the Snuggy Baby Mei Tai when my sweet baby girl was about 3 weeks old. She lived in it basically! She LOVES it! See for yourself:
 As you can see the ties do hang down, but you can easily tie them again or tuck them into the tie itself!

Front view:

 Tied in the back. I do want to mention that when using the Mei Tai you ALWAYS need to make your ties a double knot. Do NOT use a bow or anything other than a double knot in order to ensure it won't come apart and your baby fall out!

She falls asleep in this carrier constantly!
I also want to mention that when you are wearing your baby **in ANY kind of carrier (especially with a newborn) you need to ensure that you can bend your head down and kiss your baby on the forehead. YOU MUST ensure that their mouth and nose is unobstructed and that they can breathe easily!!

As mentioned above, the Mei Tai can be used in the front and back carry position. When wearing a newborn in the Mei Tai, you use the front carry! Snuggy Baby has a great Youtube channel which shows how to properly use their baby carriers! Here is the video for the Mei Tai baby carrier that depicts how to properly use the Mei Tai on both the front and back positions!

Snuggy Baby has discontinued making Mei Tai's! That being said, there is one Mei Tai left on their site in a camouflage print! It's marked down from $105.00 to $52.50!
Snuggy Baby also makes child's doll slings, ring slings, baby wraps, and wet bags!!

As a sponsor for this event, Snuggy Baby is giving away a $75 GC to be used towards the purchase of anything on their website to one of you!!
